My favorite part of homeschooling is not missing out on 8 hours a day 5 days a week with my children. -

CONTEST ENTRY
My favorite part of homeschooling is being able to choose my childrens' curriculum based on its adherence to the Word of God. In a time where so much flagrant anti-Christian propaganda is being taught in the public school system, it gives me joy to honor Christ by introducing them to a loving Creator via His textbook, the BIBLE! :)

<3 to Homeschool
My favorite part of homeschooling is being able to teach Biblical concepts and answer their individual questions. I love seeing my kids grow stronger in their walk with the Lord, and it makes me happy to see their love for the Word of God.

I get to be with them!
My favorite part of homeschooling is being with my kiddos almost all the time! They are a joy so much of the time, and now that they're getting older (12-20), we have a great time in a different way than when they were little. What a blessing - I'd miss them terribly if they were gone for 6-8 hours a day!

Enriching studies with God's Word
I love being able to enrich our educational studies with God's word. It's wonderful being able to do astron omy with my son, guiding him through the creation story, and viewing the same constellations that the Biblical writers saw (and recorded in the scriptures.)
"The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork." - Psalm 19:1
My favorite thing
My favorite part of homeschooling is the friendship(s) that are growing between my children. My oldest doesn't think his little brother is a pest...he is his best friend. Given the choice, they always choose to play together. Little sister is starting to get in on the act to. All of this is only possible because of our home school lifestyle.

The JOY
I'd have to say my favorite part was 15 years of precious time with my children. Even with them now at ages 28 and 23, we have a God-blessed relationship within our entire family. Thank you Jesus!
Obedience
This is the one area in my life that I can say, with full confidence, "I have been and continue to be obedient to the Lord's call for my life!" It is humbling to recognize that I struggle with confidence in the particulars of day to day homeschooling life (am I not doing enough? am I doing too little? what if I am messing everything up!) but I do know that having my kids home with me as their main influence, being able to disciple them and teach them the word of God, developing a relationship with them and between them... all of this is in accordance with biblical concepts and I love knowing that the Lord will give me the ability and strength to carry on.

Homeschooling
As a student, I have many things I appreciate about homeschooling; so choosing my "favorite" is rather difficult. However, I'd probably say the best thing about it is that my parents have been able to bring me up in the fear of the Lord, free from the hindrance of having the world lock me up in a classroom and try to bring me up in its ways.
My Favorite Thing
Sadly, I have heard many, many women complain about their children and how they can't wait to send them back to school. At those times, I am always SO grateful to the Lord for blessing us with wonderful relationships with each other through being obedient to His call to home school our children. I know that I have given my children a loud and clear message that they are more important to me than a career, man's opinion, money, a clean house, etc. I hope and pray that that message of love and choosing them will continue to bless them throughout their lives.
My Favorite Part
My favorite part of homeschooling is the opportunity to raise my own son according to God's ways.
Favorite thing about homeschooling!
I get to see that look in my children's eyes of WOW!--I get it! Their overwhelming satisfaction and self-worth shining through! This I know is God's work.

Favorite thing about homeschooling...
I LOVE that my kids love being at home with me as much as I enjoy having them here. :)
FAVORITE PART OF HOMESCHOOLING
The best aspect of homeschooling has been the relationships that develop between my children, both those they have with each other and with us, the parents. What a treasure to have been able to spend so much quality time with all of them. It has also been a great joy to see them develop confidence and ease in their relationships with people outside of our family, with both their age peers and adults. When we first began homeschooling 20 some years ago, I thought, "O.K., Lord. I will yield to you and give this one year." Then, I said, "O.K., I am willing to review it one year at a time", still being not so sure of my abilities. The Lord has lead me on a great journey, teaching me more than I ever taught to my children. I pray that I will grow even deeper in my faith as I complete my homeschooling journey with the two youngest of my offspring.
