UPDATE: Here are the winners for this contest -- Paul Hurst wins the one-year membership to Midwest Creation Fellowship and Lisa Rimirez wins The Priviledged Planet DVD.

Today contest features Illinois' very own Midwest Creation Fellowship.

Midwest Creation Fellowship is an educational, nonprofit organization of Christians dedicated to the creation model of origins, based on a literal interpretation of Genesis. Our purpose is to encourage fellow Christians by demonstrating that the Genesis account of creation and a subsequent world-wide flood are consistent with the findings of true science.

Our services include a website informing of upcoming creation events within about 200 miles of Chicago, a library-by-mail of over 700 creation related titles, an annual essay contest for students age 11-18, a speakers bureau, Starlab portable planetarium workshops, a free newsletter, an HO-scale model of Noah’s Ark, and downloadable guides to the Field Museum’s Evolving Planet exhibit.

Many of our services are available to the public, but membership will get you access to our library-by-mail, and a 20% discount on materials sold through MCF.

Library-by-mail

Such a deal! We currently have over 700 titles of DVDs, books, books on tape, VHS videos, and audio tapes. For $20.00/year membership dues plus return postage, you can receive items by mail all year long! Check out our library catalog here.

Essay Contest

Here’s an opportunity for students age 11-18 to develop their skills and knowledge in writing, logic, and the theories of creation and evolution.  Entries are accepted between January 1 and April 30 each year. Prizes include cash, MCF Bookstore certificates, and a student membership in the Creation Research Society.  Winners are announced in the fall newsletter and are invited to present their papers at a public meeting. Essays of past winners have been published in nation-wide creation science venues.

Field Museum’s Evolving Planet Downloadable Guides

Taking your students or a group to the Field Museum of Natural History? Check out our downloadable guides for their Evolving Planet exhibit. One is an in-depth 34 page booklet titled Evolution: Fact or Fiction?, and the other is a tri-fold take-with Critical Thinking Guide. Contact MCF if you would like a docent to go with your group.

To enter this contest post in the comments section below how you could benefit from a one-year membership to Midwest Creation Fellowship. We'll pick one winner to receive the membership plus a copy of The Privileged Planet DVD.

Our family could benefit from this membership to strengthen our children in what they believe and to help them be able to articulate that to others.

Midwest Creation Fellowship

I think the biggest benefit from a year membership to Midwest Creation Fellowship would come from the library by mail and just learning of creation events in the Chicagoland area. It's extremely important for the next generation to be able to understand, defend and explain the truth along with the lies the world tells and teaches them. People (even children) don't like being lied to. Equipped with with resources and events that teach the truth, we can play a part in growing God's kingdom and assaulting the gates of Hell as Christ calls the church to do. Let's do it!
