Legislative Day expanded to 3 days this year on March 21-23 with "Capitol Day" drawing hundreds of homeschoolers to Springfield to sing, pray, and deliver homemade cherry pies to our state legislators. This year, for the first time, homeschool families were able to gather in the Capitol rotunda to be led in prayer and song by Pastor James McDonald. Several display boards were prepared by homeschool families telling who homeschoolers are, why they choose to educate at home, and why homeschooling is "good" for Illinois.
