Grandparents of Homeschoolers is a non-profit ministry uniting all grandparents of homeschoolers under one umbrella — our love for our grandkids! We exist to provide information and resources to grandparents of homeschoolers through a myriad of tools, online and onsite.

As a ministry, we are distinctly Christian. It is our policy to serve grandparents and parents of all faiths, but to answer to Christ in our ministry operations.

In recent years we have seen many homeschool events taking place that are sponsored by entrepreneurs. When these events are over, their sponsors head home with the profits. When you choose to attend this convention, the profits go back into supporting home education and protecting our freedoms here in Illinois. We have a history that stretches back almost 30 years, and we will be here answering questions, lifting up families and encouraging people in Christ however we can.

With the long awaited coming of spring comes the annual spring-cleaning at the Smith household.  It starts in the house as my wife and daughters wash windows, clean out closets and dust out nooks and crannies I didn’t even know existed.  The Smith men—helped out by the outdoorsy Smith women—start by power washing out the old barn that has been cluttered by last year’s mud daubers and all the hay that has been thrown down to feed the four-legged menagerie.  It’s a day that is looked forward to with both excitement and with dread.  Excitement,
