Save the dates! The ICHE Annual State Convention will be held at Calvary Church in Naperville on June 5th-7th, 2014!
The ICHE Annual State Convention is a wonderful experience. Come listen to great speakers offering sound instruction, participate in corporate worship, fellowship with other home school families, and visit the exhibit hall, giving you the opportunity to physically review curricula and other schooling resources. If you've attended a past convention, we look forward to seeing you again. If you are new to homeschooling, we encourage you to take advantage of what the state convention can offer - all in helping you train up your children in the way they should go.
Are you new to the idea of homeschooling? Don’t be overwhelmed! ICHE presents a variety of workshops, organized by topics or "pathways", to appeal to homeschoolers in various ages and stages! Thursday workshops are usually tailored for Beginners. Other pathways include Pre-Teens, Teens, Young Adults, High School and Beyond, Struggling Learners and Special Needs, Worldview, Parenting, Marriage and Family and Academics. In previous years we have also included several hands-on workshops such as Creative Cartooning, Civil Engineering, and even brain and lung dissections!
One of our 2013 attendees recently wrote:
"This was my first introduction to homeschooling and ICHE and I was truly impressed! It was such a blessing to see SO many others who shared my conviction."
Beautiful Calvary Church
What a blessing to be at such a welcoming venue as Calvary Church in Naperville! Each year our appreciation for their facility and staff grows! We look forward to singing and worshipping together in Calvary's newly remodeled auditorium! There is also abundant parking. Calvary’s delicious food service includes a café and a coffee shop ~ serving starbucks ~ providing wonderful food for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
One of the perks of coming to the ICHE convention is the on-site Exhibit Hall housing handpicked exhibitors with a Biblical worldview! You will be academically inspired by the best educational materials from all over the country without having to filter through evolution-based books and curriculum. Materials include complete curricula, art books and supplies, purity and courtship, science kits and videos and much, much more!
