How Can We Afford to Homeschool?–Homeschooling through Hard Times
How Can We Afford to Homeschool?–Homeschooling through Hard Times
- 11-ICHE-097.mp3_sample.mp3
In these difficult times— when an economy is in recession, high unemployment rates and inflation on the rise— it is becoming increasingly difficult for homeschooling parents to provide basic necessities for their families, never mind the added expense of home education. The number of single-income households, which were the norm 60 years ago, is decreasing as both parents enter the workforce in order to pay the bills. Since most homeschool families are single-income families, we are feeling the brunt of these economic hard times with many homeschool dads losing their job or are under-employed. As a result, these families will need to provide new ways to balance the demands of earning that will support the family and at the same time providing the best education possible for their children through home education.
